Massage Cupping is a modified version of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practice of cupping therapy.  Using suction (vacuum) to lift tissue as the cup moves or is placed over an area of the body. Massage Cupping utilizes manual suction obtained using a manual pump or rubber bulbs or a versatile machine that performs static suction and multiple pumping modes.

Soft tissue and myofascial (connective tissue) problems, muscle conditions, scar tissue, adhesion, restriction and lymphatic issues such as edema can be treated effectively and creatively using Massage Cupping.

Cupping therapy can be used to move stagnation, relieve inflammation, and drain/move fluids. The action is similar to the action of hot compresses. The mechanism is to draw blood from the arteries to the capillaries. The blood then returns via the veins to be cleansed or disposed of. Cupping when performed correct is not an irritant to the skin or body. It draws the inflammation out but does not add to it.
